Hello,

I'm a proud new owner of a 2006 Polar Blue Elise with Touring package, Traction Control and Starshield. Thanks to Kai Hensler if Weissach, Vancouver, BC.

I've always wanted an Elise ever since the Series 1 came out and I have been patiently waiting for the right opportunity to get one.

No need to dream about other cars now as I got my dream car now! :coolnana:

Cheers,
Vic

Welcome and congratulations! I also own a 2006 Polar Blue Elise. I get a lot of compliments on the color, even when I take it into the Lotus dealership. There's just not that many in this color around.

Thanks for all your greetings. Your right Polar Blue does get a lot of compliments. I wasn't sure of the color until I saw it for real.

I'm too busy having fun with my car post a picture right now. I will do sometime later.

Hey, same options I started with! I shopped for a month extra just to get polar blue.

Love the color but every now and then some quack asks me if the car is an antique, I presume because polar blue could be interpreted to be faded blue or something. Happened 2-3 times now.

Yep. They paint the car Magnetic Blue and then place it under an intense UV light for, IIRC, 3 weeks (or maybe it was 3.5) to fade it to Polar Blue then place a clear coat over that. Your color shouldn't fade ever.

EDIT: To the OP, welcome and congrats on the new car.

That's really strange that they say it looks faded :crazyeyes. Everyone who has seen my car loves the color.
