We have 2 catalytic converters in development plus one decat:
  1. CARB Legal
  2. 48 State Legal
  3. Decat

We are testing a CARB legal cat on our '05 Elise. This is made in CA for us from our exhaust supplier of the sonicFURY. We fit the prototype to the car yesterday and have run several cycles. So far, so good. No MILs so we will continue to cycle the car this weekend. It is about 2lbs lighter than the stock cat. It will also be lower cost than stock.

As you can imagine, CA emissions standards are very difficult. There are no options that are legal in CA except the factory part - which has been increasingly difficult to secure. Our cat uses material that is approved by CARB.

The 48 State Legal solution will be legal for any state that does not adhere to CA requirements. This one should flow better than stock as well. The Decat is for the track only cars - as we all know that track use will annihilate stock cats...

The testing went great this weekend. No MILs after many cycles. No pending codes and all readiness codes were good. We are sending this prototype back and production can start.

Prices are TBD - we should have them shortly. The CARB legal version will be lower price than stock. ETA 4-6 weeks for production parts.

48 State catalytic converter should be with us today or tomorrow. It'll get thrown on for testing to confirm no MILs are thrown. This one uses a matrix that flows really well.

FYI: The CARB legal cat will have the EO # stamped on the outside so your friendly smog inspector and confirm that it is legal - if it ever becomes an issue...

We finally received the sportCAT and have been running it with good results. No MILs after repeated cycles. It clearly flows better than the CARBcat or even a stock cat. The sound is a bit louder and makes our sonicFURY sound really wicked! It's very light at 7.5lbs - which is 3lbs lighter than stock. This cat is the solution for those of you who live in nonCARB states.

Production parts for all three varieties will get kicked off this week.

You need to get this on some cars in different configs so people can hear it more. Post more videos of the car decatted with the exhaust. Like I said I think it sounds pretty good with the stock header/cat, but decatted with header I bet it sounds way better.

I'm happy to be a test mule to see what it sounds like decatted with a header. I'm sure the supercharger would make it louder too.

Thanks for your help yesterday

Josh, this sportCAT+sonicFURY is the closest thing to the Arqray Single tip in sound (just a bit deeper tone). Yes, we need to get some sound clips up. With a supercharger, it will REALLY sound awesome!
