I was psyched to see the HPI stuff in the LA pictures. I did this one a while back as therapy while I'm waiting.....

Looks lime green / magenta from here.

Is that the same "red" as on the test ferrari in the 80's the red and changes colors from lighting ?

It's actually "teal" and "candy red" from my local hobby store. They were the closest match at the time, although I obviously wasn't going for true realism!

I've got a spare body that I'll likely paint in Type 25 colors if I can find a good match.

You can get that color changing paint for airbrushing. I've used it, but it has just too much "bling" factor for me.

I have mine painted blue on my Tamiya chassis, how do you like your RS4? I've heard nothing but good stuff about HPI.

RS4 is cool...but fragile

I like the RS4, but it's fairly fragile compared to the graphite stuff from Losi and TA. I've never had a Tamiya chassis before, but likewise, I've only heard good things. I really want their F1 chassis to play with, but can't justify the $$ at this point.

I'm waiting for the HPI Pro 4 to come out before I buy anything new.....it should be very cool.

BTW, I just snagged one of the old HPI Elise bodies (S1 style)....now I just have to find the CO paint!!!
