Hi All,

Just wanted to inform you that as of about a month ago, I am no longer with the Newport European store or as it's refer to now as Rolls-Royce Motorcars OC. I've accepted an exciting and probably challenging offer to spear head 2 new Lotus franchise, Lotus of West Covina where headquarters will be and where we'll display Lotus street cars as well as a Lotus Original store where people can visit. Our second store, Lotus of the Desert which is located near Palm Springs in Thermal CA , will be on a new track, The Thermal Club:

The Thermal Club | Private Pavement - THE THERMAL CLUB | HOME | PRIVATE PAVEMENT | LUXURY MOTORSPORTS RACEWAY

At this store, it will focus only on the motorsport aspects of Lotus or any other brand for that matter and will be based on appointments only.

I'm excited that the owners will allow me to run the stores as I've always invisioned a Lotus store to be operated as and although I know there will be challenges, I welcome the opportunity to do Lotus and the dealer justice.

Currently we are setting up websites and still working on the inside of the West Covina store but I just wanted to finally get the word out since it's taken this long where I can officially announce something.

Once we're up and running, I look forward to seeing you for our grand opening which I think you folks will appreciate once the dealership is done.

In other news, Lotus will be running ads on television for the Evora during the NBCSports Network US National broadcast of the first two races of the 2014 Formula 1 season :coolnana:

Congratulations. When do you expect to open the West Covina store. Also, the proximity to the canyons would make an excellent Evora test drive day for potential owners.

That said, the AZ market really needs a Lotus dealership.

Thanks folks, just had a meeting with the architect and he thinks we can come close to the specs I received from Lotus Originals & Lotus Cars.

In other news, we will be looking for a driver to enter the Lotus Cup USA event in our Exige S V6 Cup Car. Obviously there are certain requirements and tests that need to be passed but I think it will be fun for everyone that qualifies. More will be discussed throughout the week...stay tuned

Seems like dealers are dropping Lotus and doesn't sound good to me. Thousand Oaks Silver Star dropped Lotus some time ago, any news if someone else local will pick up Lotus? There's a new dealer here that sells RR, Bentley, Lambo, etc.

A little sad to see Newport European drop the brand as it was the first place I had a test drive in an Elise. Actually 2 test drives. A white NA and a black SC back to back on an overcast Saturday afternoon......seems like just yesterday.
