Hello all, my name is Nate, and I was fortunate enough to recently purchase an '05 Elise after searching for a while. Actually had it shipped here from Utah, and the previous owner had it repainted a metallic blue color, luckily it was not painted because it was wrecked:) The car is absolutely incredible to drive! I also own a '94 RX-7 Twin Turbo and daily drive an E36 M3, and I was blown away by just how much better the Elise feels to drive:D

I look forward to meeting fellow enthusiasts and have already started to enjoy the wealth of information on this site. Looking forward to doing some local track events this year with it now!

Wondering if there's many other Lotus owners around the Madison area? I've seen a black Elise and an Exige around town recently.

Anyways,here's some pics

And at work on my hoist doing its first oil change:

Welcome and congrats! Nice lineup of cars - you're going to love the Elise.

Are you using the correct lift points in that picture? It doesn't look like it. Be sure to use points B & C or B & D:

Even better buy a lift point kit: MWR Lift Point Kit - Lotus Elise/Exige/2-eleven - MWR-902101 van Monkeywrench Racing - Monkeywrench

Otherwise you risk a repeat of the infamous "qball" incident:

Hello and welcome!

there is a fairly large Lotus crowd in Wisconsin and Chicago. I would say the majority of the owners are in the Milwaukee area though...

Check these threads out!

I was lifting off points B and C. I was unaware of point D, or the lift point kits, thanks!

Haha that pic was from the dealer I bought it from, all of my pics are grey and dreary lol.

Cool. It was hard to tell if you were on C or A. The lift point kits are great if you have a lift. Invented here in Racine, actually.

yeah its stressed to only use 'D' as a 4-post rear lift point (inconveniently you have to remove the diffuser to gain access to 'D')

A & C are for rear jack points (with A being the easiest to access)

also, welcome to the party pal
