Hey guys! I'm new here and I'm looking at purchasing an Elise in the near future. The one I am looking at is located here
Julian’s Auto Showcase, 6404 US Highway 19, New Port Richey, FL 34652 - 2005 Lotus Elise 2dr Convertible

What do you think of the the car and what is the price I should be paying for this vehicle from the dealership. I was thinking this price out the door would be good, but with added tax, dealer fees, etc. it's a bit over priced. Any help is appreciated! I'm definitely not in a hurry and will wait for the right car. I will be test driving it this week!! Thanks for your help!

Doesn't seem like a bad price, although with 24K miles you may have some wiggle room. I would also check out the classified section on LT...some members are selling their cars that may be a good fit. There is also a checklist on this site for buying a used elise (do a search and it'll pull up)

Regardless, before buying, make sure you get a Lotus dealer inspection (complete with an ECU dump of the cars history)

Good luck

At least from the photos, this car seems to be in good to very good shape (hard to know for sure until you actually see the car, I think). It appears to be bone-stock, all OEM. Mileage is probably about average for the 05 Elises out there. Assuming it was well-cared for (which it at least appears to be) I'd say it's a fair price.

Nice color choice! ;)

If you are given the internet special listed for $27,999 I think that's a swinging deal for this car, if it is clean.

I just bought mine last weekend in Scottsdale AZ for $35K out the door. It's pretty spottless and seems like it was very well-maintained. The price of the car before taxes, dealers fee, etc. was $32,500. Mine has 11K miles on it and is a 2006.

Good luck with your purchase!!

$28k seems like a really good price for Chrome Orange with a hardtop, at a dealer. I'd be a bit suspicious and ensure it's checked out thoroughly

Car has the touring pack and hard top, out side of that it seem like a base car so it’s not fully loaded.
The radio is not the stock unit so who knows what’s up with the stereo. Most likely better then stock.
To me it has low miles and seem to be a good price. If you like the color you need to go look (or get someone here to) at it in person and as others have said get a ECU dump.

If any of our cars where to go for less then 26,000 I wouldn’t trust it. Ever.
