Well, I went to the new site and realized you have to re-register. I've taken this opportunity to not re-register and will stick to this board as well as roadfly. I was just sick of all the people stopping by to discuss the elise who don't have money down and will never buy the car.

It's easier not to visit if you are not registered.

I feel liberated!:D :D

Is it the same Admin on the new BBS? I think his style of moderating the fourm has turned a lot of people off that site.

Hey Lotus, time for a new Admin, liberate the concentration camp that is the official Lotus forum.

Well, I re-registered, just for the heck of it. Doesn't take much time to check in there and occasionally something of interest comes up, since believe it or not, there are some posters who don't belong here. Plus, Lotus Admin has promised to add things of interest. I check Roadfly occasionally, mainly to look for Clyde's posts. Also have fun visiting the SELOC forum.

The new lotuscars forum in layout is very similar to elise talk. I'll continue to go to that site and a few other as well. 1. perhaps to keep tabs on some of the wild speculation out there. 2. maybe help serious people who find the lotuscars forum site.

Plenty of room for multiple bbs, tho I find most of my posting is done here.

I'm perfectly happy with Elisetalk and Roadfly... The "official" board is a waste of time and I'm not too fond of the way "Lotus Admin" handles things there, particularly his saying "use the search feature" and then not replying when someone says "I used the search feature and couldn't find it - here's the ten different ways I tried to find it". It is pretty obvious that whoever it is doesn't have any experience whatsoever with running a message board.

Hey L Admin. Perhaps a sticky for links?
Hi Lotus Admin,
Would you consider doing a sticky for link postings, this might help some of the newbies to the whole elise thing find info easily. I'll start off with these:

http://www.elises.co.uk/models/index.html

http://www.seloc.org/

http://www.kirschmann.ch/lotus/colors.html

http://www.elise160.net/

http://www.sandsmuseum.com/cars/elise/index.html

Online Road and Track article on US Elise:

Chris, what forum is missing from this? :) Are you thinking LA would not allow a link to us? I think it's justified to link because otherwise people won't know about the LA Autoshow meet, and if they can link to SELOC, they should be able to link to us here.
