225/45/17 Proxes T1R
195/50/16 Proxes T1R

any issues with going to 245/45/17 Proxes R1R rears?

I don't see an issue. You'll probably see a bit more understeer, but that's better than the alternative.

I'd go with the 245/40/17's same diameter as 225/45/17's. The back wear out almost 3X's faster for me than the front. I'm not going to go 3 set on the back w/o changing the front this time. The front one's are getting a bit old after two sets of rears.

i'm currently running 235/40/17 toyo r1r's on my elise, the speedo is off by a couple MPH, but other than that, no issues, i just ordered another pair for the rear yeterday

245/45/17 Proxes R1R already on the way. we shall see :shrug:

Let us know if they are fine, they are a whole 1" bigger diameter and 2-3lbs more a tire than 235/40 or 225/45's.

Fit like gloves....socks...boots...:D

even the Plastidip stayed on the rims

I like your left rear clam sticker, those tires do fill out the wheel well a bit more. Like JWA stated let us know if they rub under high cornering loads.

there is some brief rubbige on HARD u-turns :facepalm

Speedo still seems spot on according to my GPs speedo

:update: took out the 5mm spacers...which should have been taken off..... no rubbing on the same hard u turn :cool:
