Hi guys,
Just took delivery of titanium 111r with touring pack (black leather) in Sydney Australia.
Having a great time (although roof is a pain compared with previous car - S2000).
Surprisingly supple ride
Great acceleration even below vtec (probably because of weight)
1) Don't trade it with shay2nak's expected Graphite Grey!. You've chosen the best colour!
2) Take your time to read my messages about my first impressions on 111R. We'll be more than happy to read you personal review of the car, and make our comparisons.

3) Elise is not a car, she's an Elise

, so don't compare her with other cars, even in trivial roof terms.
4) Elise has rituals , or methods to follow and drills to pass in order to open the Lotus Gates of Heaven. One is to get in and out with the roof up in a single smooth move; ask me how I do it with XXL size and 6'4" (No, I don't have a QR wheel!

).
Another is to take the roof on and off quickly even 2-3 times a day and feel like you're simply closing your doors

. I've also been given a totem to , haven't you already?

5) The acceleration you feel is definitely because of weight and you'll be surprised in the future of how fast you'll be able to drive, and still feel within your limits, since I bet Elise's are well above. You will also redefine very soon terms like steering, grip, braking power and distance, but also get acquainted with mid-engine setup. The sooner you both get in track, the better you'll feel the difference...
6) Once you'll run in your engine properly, you'll be given the key to the (VV)TLi world. S2K's VTEC's feeling and sound is just a nice noise compared to the kick you feel at your back with the 111R and the Ferrari-like orchestra you have behind you! I'm already looking forward to fitting the Level 2 Sport Exhaust, which is not only considerably lighter than stock but its sound rocks too

.
btw, have you noticed that Elise sounds at idle, or close to idle speed, like having a boxer engine (see Porsche)? They've really done a magnificent sound engineering job with this car...
Once more, congratulations for your perfect choice. Hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do, and always take your camera with you!. You see,
this forum is fed with pictures!!!...
