Hi everyone!

I'm Matt. From the most northern reaches of Worcestershire England near to Bromsgrove. Big lightweight sports car enthusiast!

Just recently collected my factory ordered Exige Sport 410 in Motorsport Green from the fantastic people at Lotus Silverstone.

It's been about 4 months from order to collection, plus the paint protection and a bit of extra work to customise the look how I wanted.

Changes post factory are all Aesthetic and done by Logic VPC in Stratford Upon Avon:
  • Red cat scratches and red accent on leading edge of the side intakes.
  • Back of wing mirrors to match the Motorsport Green body work (peelable paint).
  • End plates for the rear wing also done to match the body (peelable paint)
  • Full body Liquid PPF, including matte Liquid PPF for the roof panel. (Extra layers on the splitter for obvious reasons)
Look forward to hopefully getting out to some meetups around the UK when things return back to normal...

Images attached. A few before and after the paint protection work.

Thanks all for the welcome. I'm surprised, can you not import them over there?

Nope. Not as a street car anyway. The only new Lotus that can be legally driven on the road here is the Evora. We lost the Elise/Exige in 2011. Doesn't meet crash tests

I guess our crash test standards aren't as strict, but still not fair.

I think Lotus will have to bring out new ranges to cater for that and get to the wider American market if they hope to appeal to more people.

The new Exiges are pretty insane on the roads, almost a little terrifying .. in a good way.

Edit: Sunset picture from a local drive tonight.

Congrats on the car, hope you have a lot of fun with it! Motorsport green, my favourite paint colour for lotus cars, also the red looks really good as an accent to it.

Thanks! It worked out really well. I spent way too long planning what I wanted done with the accents, and who would do them for me.

First maintenance clean before the Winter really sets in here:

fyi - The full plastic protection film makes it very easy to clean with just the snow foam and a blast. No contact washing done because any dirt literally slides off.
