I know this has probably been discussed, but I'm not sure this specific question has been asked. I'm going to get the sport package since people have said it does not seem that stiff and I do plan on doing several autocross events. I will also use this as a daily driver so I would like the non-LSS tires to put on the LSS rims. I know they are different sizes but will there be a similar tire that we can put on the LSS rims? I mainly want a tire that will last longer with better wet condition performance.

Not sure about the answer, but I would ask Shinoo (Sector 111) he has become the tire and wheel specialist IMO. These cars have very specific tire and wheel sizes, offsets etc... just be smart when changing things around.

I would suggest looking at tires like the Bridgestone S-03, Pirelli PZero Nero, Goodyear GS-D3, Toyo T1-S, or even checking to see if the Advan AD-07 will be available in the LSS front tire size. The Tire Rack web site is a great resource for this kind of search.

If you are buying the wider rims, you should have no problem getting tyres to fit. At least in the UK there are a few types.

Most liked here in the UK is another Yoko tyre, but I've forgotten its full designation (Yoko Advan Neova something or other). They have decent wet grip as well as dry, and will last longer than AO48s.

The Neova should fit the wider LSS front wheels no problem. You can expect slightly better turn-in and response from the same tire on a wider rim.

The options are very few in the LSS sizes. Continental ContiSportContact, Dunlop SP Sport FM901 and Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 all are available in stock sizes front AND rear.

These all have Treadwear ratings that range from 160-280. Compare that with the ultra sticky A048 which are a 60.

You have 195 neovas as standard fit? Those are the ones I'd drop on the LSS rims.

175/55-16 Neova AD07's are standard up front.
Do they make a 195?
The problem is we don't always get all of the same tires.

I'll call my contact at Yokohama next week and see if they plan to import them...
