As a back up if SC or Turbo doesn't work out for the US Elise, what about using Nitrous Oxide? It's been proven to work in the Celica GTS. The added weight is minimal and can be had for less than $700. Also you can drive the Elise normally and not let F40 or Corvette leave you during the straight part of the course.

The page states that those using NOS should go back to watching Fast and the Furious instead of driving an Elise...

No, seriously, it states that some use uncommon methods for tuning the car. But I like the first statement better.

For those who think Nitrous Oxide are for those who watch "Fast and Furious" series think again. First of all it was military that was intersted as a method to a performance enhancer. Then it was the racing scene with big engine detroit cars that was interested in N20 application, way back when it just started.

I'll only limit myself to drag racing it, until I get a 2nd car

On legal drag strip only of course.
