Occasional 2nd to 3rd gear issue?

Since I have owned my '07 Exige the 2nd to 3rd shift seems to have the occasional mild metallic feel at times maybe even a little crunch in the feel. I wouldn't say it's a grind by my definition. It's not all the time and the dealer say's they cannot do anything unless it's duplicateable. The first time they drove it they said it felt fine which at times it does. It definitely almost alway's feel's different then the other gear changes but, doesn't alway's feel this way. Also the shifter has alway's tended to be a little sticky getting back to neutral. This is also not 100% of the time. I have even seen the shifter when placing into first stick and then settle to the right in the natural position. This has only happended a few times. The car has under 4000 miles. I am not sure if there is anything to do other then drive it. If it worsens and becomes duplicateable then take in for the warranty service. Otherwise hope that it doesn't. Any suggestions or experiences.

I think the 2nd to 3rd gear crunch is common under certain circumstances... both gearboxes I've had would do it. If I haven't driven the car for a few days, and it's below 60˚ outside, and I've only been driving for a few minutes, and I get the revs up above 4K RPM in second before shifting to third, I'll get a brief crunch. But unless all those conditions are met, no problem.
Yeah, temperature has a lot to do with it. I get that also whenever the temperature is below somewhere around 70 deg. Above that and everything is fine. I guess if its temperature senstive, its not a syncro issue ? Maybe switch to MT-90?
Maybe switch to MT-90?
That's my suggestion, too. It eliminated the stickiness and crunching in mine.
Will switching to MT90 be an issue should I need the warranty?

Don't see why, it meets the specs for our tranny oil.

Ask your dealer/warranty place of choice to be sure, it -shouldn't- be a problem, but better safe than sorry.
Went out yesterday for around 50 miles. Definitley more prominent when cold but, I felt somewhat of a crunch after driving 25-30 miles..
