Okay, I'm a geek that was taught "You need to record your millage and gas added" to calculate MPG on every fill up. (It works good for maintenance records if you do oil changes, tires, etc...)

I was playing with excel, (yep its raining and I am board), so I added a Odometer calculated column: Odometer reading at last recording + trip odometer. Figured it should be +/- a half mile OD reading if I reset the trip odometer before I move the car, which I do (left over habit from my 911 with fragile trip odometer gears).

Either the odometer is not correct or the trip odometer is not correct.
Reset the trip odometer to 0 at 7008 miles. Put 261.7 miles on the car, according to the trip odometer, giving me a total either 7210 (odometer) or 7269.7 calculated.

Mileage Trip Odo Calculated Gallons MPG = 29.6709212193436

6490 268.5 6491.0 8.979 29.90
6746 256.0 6758.5 8.552 29.93
7008 261.7 7002.0 8.880 29.47
7210 201.6 7269.7 7.130 28.27

Wounder which is correct?
