Does anyone know what the construction of the OE spark plug leads are ?

Are they braided-wire core, carbon filament, or what ?

How robust are they, or are they somewhat fragile ?

Reason I ask is that I had to be fairly rough on some of them when replacing my spark plugs (because they were really "stuck" on there), and now I am wondering if I need to check them for damage, either at the terminal / connections or within the wire cores themselves. Physically, they look fine, of course, but I am wondering how easy it is to damage them internally when taking them on / off and pulling them in / out.....and whether or not I may have accidentally done so.

They are pretty strong but if you pulled or twisted them hard, you could have damaged them. If you have any doubts check them with an ohmmeter, they should all be around the same resistance.

I found that if you rotate them back and forth a few times first they pull out much easier. I also used some pliers to hold on to the tab on one side of the boot and used my finger to pull on the other side of the boot so I didn't stress the wire.
