Just installed Ohlins on my elise. There is such a wide range of settings, what is the best place to start. Just starting to track my car as much as I can. Most of if not all of the track time will be at Sebring so I need to keep that in mind when setting the suspension, I am also running Hoosier A-6's. For a fairly new track guy, how important is corner balancing.

The instructions for my Ohlins call for Rebounds of 12 clicks and compression of 1 click for the track. For street, they recommend 18 clicks for rebound and 12 clicks for compression. The rebound adjusted is on the shock, and the compression is on the reservoir. These settings have worked fairly well.

Alignment and corner balancing is critical with these cars. Get a track alignment and have it corner balanced with passenger weights in the car and a half tank of gas. Also, if you are running Hoosiers, make sure you have a track brace for your toe links.

Are those clicks from the softest setting or the firmest setting?
Those are the setting Ohlins recommand on the their manual which they think its best for Street or Track

Track - Rebounds 12 clicks , Compression 1 click
Street - Rebounds 18 clicks , Compression 12 clicks

I have a stupid question thou.

What's the Compression adjustment for ?
I only had single adjustible (Rebounds) coilover before, never use a set with compression adjustible.

Zinhead, Thanks alot that is just what I was looking for. I do have the RTD brace on my toe links.

Compression is how the shock reacts to initial input (upward force) of a bump. Rebound is how it adjusts back to a normal state (downward force).
