I read on a few threads that the part number for the oil drain plug gasket is 90430-12028, but when I called a couple toyota dealerships they are telling me that 90430-12031 is the part number for the gasket they use on all toyotas. Does this sound accurate? Which gasket should I buy?

Every Toyota dealership that I have called said that they don't carry the 90430-12028 gasket but they have a shizer load of 90430-12031 gaskets. Does anyone know if you can use these?

Ok, so after talking to the 4th Toyota dealership in a row, it seems as though the 90430-12028 gasket has been officially replaced by toyota with the newer 90430-12031 gasket which is a higher quality, more crush resistant gasket.

In case anybody cared.

I used to care... now I have a Moroso pan...

Seriously, nice work sorting this out; I'm sure others will benefit... maybe this should be added to the Uberpost on maintenance/repairs?

it might be worth at least updating the part number in the uberpost so people don't have to waste their time calling multiple dealerships like I did.
