Hey guys!
So if you have been following my thread in the forced induction section you already know I want to build a VERY reliable, mildy turboed 2ZZ. I am going to replace the oil pump gears and probably new valves and seats. I have been pondering options for the oil pump gears...many are VERY expensive. I think the cheapest I found is $250 for a performance, quality brand.
This thread is a general inquiry into what my oil pump gear options are.
I am tossing around the idea of machining my own - I have a mill and lathe that would be capable of this type of work.
If I did make my own - what material would you suggest?
Any feedback on these thoughts is appreciated!
