It has been one full week since I got my DD Evora ...and wow I finally know what love is! I have notice a few things minor things

1) Unlocking the passenger door with dash button ... not seemingly working ... not sure I know what I am doing
2) Temperature seem to go slightly above 1/2 on hot days while playing just a bit. Yes we have had mid 80's here lately
3) Receiving a call while the radio is on ... does not completely mute the radio
4) Must move drivers seat back while getting out of the car
5) I do not like the shift point on the IPS in non sport mode
6) The IPS downshift in sport mode seems like it may be hard on the transmission, but I love the rev-match

Already put 500 miles on her ... and she loves being pushed

#4 - you should be able to exit w/o doing that after you get used to things. doing what you are doing is supposed to wear out ratchets.

#5 - you mean in auto mode - that is for when engine is cold or you are just lounging around town imo.

#6 - i do not think you have to worry. it is nothing like my old M3 in terms of wacks on the shifts.

Try not to move your seat like that. It will wear out the brsvkets. I had mine replaced under warranty, but not worth the risk.

I would get use to using the Elise ingress method and putting your hand on the bolster to avoid wearing the leather doen

#1) Though I've had my car 3 years, I never even knew that button is there. I think it just locks the doors on command.
#2) That's normal, because the fan is set to only go on when it gets above that level.
#3) Ditch the Alpine/Pioneer at first chance, if you're an Android fan you've got to get the Parrot Asteroid Smart
#4) Been doing that for 3 years now, it does not really wear the rails out.

Enjoy every minute with the car!

#3) There's a setting you can change to mute the music completely when taking a call. By default, it leaves it on a little bit

they are really guzzling that hatorade.

stupid quotes aside

This is really entertaining to read, and they really must not understand what compromise means.

I also think the evora is still quite competent on the track, and for a daily driver, you dont need the extra 2/10s I figure, and while the IPS isnt the best tranny, its not terrible either, from what I hear.

Actually guys if you think that is a flame thread you havent been on many forums haha. Of course there are 3 or 4 trolling guys saying "sounds like hes here to brag... now watch me brag" but after reading all 3 pages the overall response was positive. You have to understand most of the FRS and BRZ kids are 16-25 and came from the "WRX" crowd which is a world in and of its own. I was suprised there was more "congrats, beautiful cars" than "what a waste of money blah blah blah" which is exactly what you would get on STI or EVO forum from literally everyone except one or two guys. If you really want to see some flaming go over to E46fanatics or bimmerforums. Those forums are just mosh pits of misinformation and anger haha.

Really glad the crowd on this forum is much more respectable though thanks for keeping it positive. Happy motoring :shift:

Went thru the same thing when I ditched my STi for the Elise. Had both for 2 years but the AWD didn't teach me to drive better. The STi crowd was , to say the least, not complimentary. Funny haven't had any BRZ, Scions pass me at the track. They just don't get the extreme tactile sensations the Evora gives, even though their cars are great but they are no Lotus!

Seriously? You guys have worn out the seat brackets? There's no way I'm getting in and out of my car without moving the seat back.
+ 1 for me,that is the only way I get in or out ( I am 5'9") of both my Elise and Evora. I have not had any problems with either one. For the passenger side door, you need to press the button twice.

I'm 5 10 and never move the seats unless putting something in back. Guess all those years of extrication practice in the Elise paid off. BTW never adjusted that seat either
