I had a warm drive home in the sun yesterday afternoon with the aircon on. Later that night, I took a bunch of friends out for joy rides with the roof down and heater on - lovely night for it.

So my heater and aircon work just fine.

How does it sound? I've been hearing different things about the engine's/exhaust's note. How does it compare to the K motor, if you know?
Thanks!

The exhaust note is much sportier than the stock K series.

I drove the Elise S and Elise 111R back to back The S exhaust was almost *quiet* at sub 60kph speeds, but the 111R has a nice deep burbling sound much like an aftermarket sports exhaust.
BTW, my digicam doesn't capture the Ardent Red color very well - the piccies seem to show a paler red.

In the flesh, Ardent Red is a very deep red, like a toffee apple color, or perhaps deep red cherry before ripening.

The contrast of black trim and red paintwork is awesome.
Congrats again on the car! Looks nice! Can't wait for a review after you get her broken in.
You lucky dog.

I noticed that the air vents on the dash are located up by the windshield. The cars in LA had the vents much lower on the dash. I wonder if this is a truly "Federalized" Elise?

It's not.

The car in the pictures is the european version with the Toyota engine, not the US Elise.
