Just wanted to share the progress of my dash install. I'm using the brackets made by Brent Bauman. It is a SUPER clean and easy install. You only have to tap 4 wires from the stock cluster harness(+/- power and +/- CAN) and you get you your standard dash functions(fuel level, water temp, rpm, speed,... etc.) Then you can add whichever extra AiM sensors that you like for your setup. The bracket bolts right inplace of the factory cluster using the same 4 holes. There is a different bracket for the 211 but it is also done.

I previously had a racepack G2X data logger and display, a Defi display, and a separate IC temp gauge and have removed all of it in favor of just the dash. It will be MUCH nice to have everything in one place with no extra control boxes mounted to the floor.

The front and back of the bracket with a carbon veneer:

fit into the binnacle:

I haven't gotten to installing mine into the dash yet but I will next week. Here is a photo of what it looks like in Brents car. The same bracket:

This is a diagram I put together of the setup I'm going with

I dont believe the IQ3 works on the ECU canbus but I'm not certain. If it doesn't then you would need to tap into all of the sensors you need individually instead of just the two wires for the canbus right in the dash plug.

well I finally got my dash all buttoned up so you can see how it looks complete, female USB port is in the cubby on the left for programming the dash and downloading data:

I'll get some better pics with a real camera when I finish cleaning the interior. :D

Are there any other gauge manufactures' like Aim that have multiple data inputs in one compact package? I have seen the Zeitronix and Defi offerings.
I would like a very compact digital readout that would fit under the dash or somewhere inconspicuous.

Does the Lotus ECU account for oil pressure/temp and AFR, I assume not but gotta be sure.

No the stock ECU does not but thats why you just add them to the dash. along with the data it is getting from the ECU....

for the record as well my car now has the EFI x2 ECU in it operating in full standalone mode. Via the serial interface the ECU send 30 channels of data to the dash. Wide band, oil pressure, temps........all go to the ECU and it send it all up to the dash via the serial interface. I am able to log everything in the dash, display whatever I want of that data, and send whatever I want of that data to my smarty cam to be overlayed on my video.

also as promised earlier. cleaned up interior

Defi does make alittle display. I used to have it. It only shows two things at once but takes a few inputs. Its called the Defi Display. I dont know of other options.

sweet! are you going to do the GPS option that shows the track you are at?

i was going to get one (racepack) for my ae86 with a haltech e8. direct plug n play with most haltech units. This dash looks like it's from the same company?

I believe haltechs are rebranded racepacks.

My Smartycam has GPS built in which the dash/logger reads for track mapping and speed or whatever.
