more-notice how "behind" of the seats comes out with the clam. Pete told me to send him some better speakers and he'd install them while it's apart.

...Shudder... It's like when a loved one is getting an operation or something. Or like watching a horror movie where you want to look away but can't . Your car will be completed soon and I'm sure that it will be done properly and with care. Extra since this may be their first "clamectomy".

Hmm...our motors sit up pretty high don't they?

Also, our rear windows can only be replaced when the clam is off...so if it's not in perfect shape, nows the time to fix it.

BTW-I'm getting a new clam. The old one was split where the trunk bottom meets the back, making a repair up to Rothrock's standards impossible.

Last one. It is a bit unsettling to see these pictures, but we all know our car is make up of all these pieces. Pete said this car reminds him of many of the races cars he used to do pit work for. He said it's very different from most other cars out there, including the Vette he's also working on.

You know, I was talking to my wife about this forum. She's really impressed with the commitment and dedication we all have to our ELises and to each other. If we all contribute where we can, it's like having an enormous "how to" manual, illustrations album, and a 100 advisor/experts on the car---just for contributing! (and a bunch of new friends) What a neat forum, not much else like it out there!

How did it get split? Was it a birth defect :( , or did you abuse it  ?

(I am overly humanizing this car?)

Great shots! thanks for posting.

These are good pics of the rear supports for the roll bar as well - I know people have asked about it in the past.

As you guys will learn - there is nothing "easy" on these cars - nothing. If you think it's going to be an easy job, double your estimated time for completion!

:D

Am I imaging things, or is your fuel filler neck on the wrong side? Are you flipping photos just to see if we'd notice? Well we will!

(edit - photo didn't link inline, just scroll up to the last photo Surferjer posted)

That picture is flipped. Look at the 2nd one up (just above the picture in question). Weird.

Do you guys NOT remember this thread? Here is the answer to all your questions on why...

http://www.elisetalk.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6704 Pictures on the 3rd page, half way down.

My Liz will be good as new in a week, which is good because I'm racing her again on the 7th.
