One of my best friends is turning 40 and he decided to get married. He asked me to be the best man in his wedding and had only 1 request, to have his bachelor party at the playboy mansion:huh:
I live in New Jersey and don't have any CA connections to get him in.
He is a former Marine recon and a veteran of Desert Storm and Operation Desert Freedom or whatever it was called.
I would love to make his dream come true but don't know how.
Has anyone here ever been lucky enough to have their bachelor party at the Playboy mansion?

I have heard about charity events that one can attend for $1500 per person. But, it was still by invitation only, as I recall.

you can rent it, i've been to a few industry events there, but the bunnies only turn up for hef's events usually, the rest are either recruited off craigslist or none at all.

no idea how much it costs though, but its the likes of sony that rent it.

you can buy tickets to the parties, they're upwards of $1000, i think the next one is the end of august, best to go through one of the VIP specialists for that.

My wife and I went to the Midsummer's Night's Party after she wrote a movie for the Playboy organization. I told my wife I was going to look at the women and what they were wearing, and she understood...this I had to see.

Hef had covered the entire backyard with a tent, all of the pools and waterfalls, and food and drink were everywhere.

At least fifty beautiful women as expected, and slightly greasy good-looking guys.

I met Hefner, which was great, since he and his magazine WERE my sex life for my teenage years, where I also learned also alot about cars, politics, and how to be James Bond (Sean Connery). He's a very interesting man. With three or four girlfriends on his arm at any one time.

The dressing rooms near the pool (we were in a tent, remember) have lounges that go part way into the pool and the air is heated for half in, half out, sex. In the dressing rooms are huge bowlfuls of rubbers (!)

The mansion itself is old, but the experience is something all men dream about.

A gigantic, loud party filled with famous people and wannabees.

Cool.

That sounds like an amazing experience Larry. I didn't know that Playboy made scripted movies I have only seen the music videos:)

My girlfriend has been invited to some of those parties with some of her friends that go, but I never bother because I am not paying. For normal guys (except in rare circumstances like Larry) it is all about the money.

I've been to "Mopars at the Mansion" a couple of times... that's an event for fans of Dodge/Plymouth muscle cars that's put on by Rob Wolf of Mopar Collector's Guide Magazine. Basically he rents the mansion for an evening, and there's bunnies galore, swimming in the grotto, a big event tent with food, three bars, a DJ, and of course, a stage with a pole located front and center! The mansion staff sure seem like they're used to this type of deal, it runs like clockwork up there, with shuttle busses from a hotel in Century City (where guests park their cars), and an event-planning woman who puts out the "bunny signal" (text messages) and coordinates a couple of hundred Hollywood hotties to turn up and populate the place. Without that massive deployment of troops, Mopars at the Mansion would be 300 fat middle-aged men looking at three bars, four bunnies and nine cars!

Here's the MySpace for past events held there:

How much is it? $2000? $1000? Seems like a lot just for the ambiance but I guess it does have it's place in history. (I'd be all over going if it wasn't so expensive! It would be worth the experience though...)

Many people only rent the grotto area and outside. As Larry says it's old and beat up. The grotto smells like an old wet rag. If it blows everyone away that they're actually at the Mansion, That's cool. But it has had better days.

Here's another ( cheaper ) idea...... Why not "create" your own Playboy mansion ?...........get a big hall somewhere, decorate it like the mansion, hire a bunch of bunnies in costume serving drinks or.....whatever.... it'll be the same ambiance; you can invite a lot of people, and it'll cost a whole lot less.

Thanks for the offer. I am waiting for him to tell me the date of the wedding which he guessed is about 6 months from now. I guess we could have a pre-bachelor party to make sure its worth it:nanner:

Who is promoting the party... is it "Playboy" sponsored? I saw Tommy Leykis was there for a remote broadcast and party. I looked pathetic... come on 971. The hottest girl was about a California 7 and then it was just piled high with dong on dong... like lincoln logs (sorry Abe). Just curious what sort of vibe this Rock the Manny... is going to be putting out... and the vibe will directly correlates to the crowd..

If I was the OP I'd like to know before I spent any dough...

P.S. I wouldn't spend any dough anyway... you can go to a lot hotter parties with scorching scenery for free... IMO
