I assumed the OP meant just the vents themselves, i.e., replacement for the black plastic pieces only, thus not requiring any major modifications.

That cover does not let air out. It would be nice to have exact match to the black plastic vents that exhaust air.

"You're incorrect - it has approximately the same venting area as stock."

Clear Engine Cover is one solid piece with no slots for air. You might be looking at the wrong cover. The one I am talking about is on the gray Elise and is one piece.

It's my car and lid - the area rear of the cover is all open.

MaineLotus, let me know your progress on those molded vented covers. I would be interested in doing the same thing.
