2.0L starts at $80k (based on leaked sales doc wording plus V6 Evora GT starts at $97k). Mass production could cut costs from Evora by $7-9k for the V6 Emira to start at $89k--a jump from 360 to 416hp for $9k seems reasonable. And I read somewhere the First Editions will be mono-spec (except for customizing interior/exterior/roof colors and wheels exactly like in online configurator). So I worry fully loaded w/ Drivers Pack/Convenience Pack/Design Pack (I'd say each pack averages $4k or $12k total) will be mandatory. But mass producing a uniform spec could subsidize savings vs optioning out each pack for a non-First Edition so add $10k instead of $12k:

$89k base V6 + $10k subsidized First Edition features = $99k

(If you want to use some fudge factor to appease yourself, say base V6 starts $88k and 3 discounted packs are $9k for $97k total but I choose to be conservative/realistic in my $99k estimate.)

“The first edition will be only v6sc and will be around $80k”. I think the Lotus folks at the Quail just killed this game.

Like, they literally said that.
Way lower than my expected price but would make my indecision against a C8 Z06 much more decisive. Hope that American rep knew what they were talking about instead of just going off their own interpretation of the sales pamphlet like we did when it got leaked.

From the leaked sales pamphlet:

The Porsche 718 Cayman S is the closest rival to the Emira in terms of vehicle performance, dynamic capability, perceived quality, and brand heritage . . . Cayman S with 350 HP whereas Emira is 360-400HP"
Considering Evora GT at $96.95k MSRP was a direct market competitor to 911 at $101.2k MSRP with a $4.25k delta, you could apply that same math on Emira MSRP with Cayman S at $71.9k MSRP being its direct market competitor. Though it would be fairer to compare Cayman S to Emira 2.0T and Cayman GTS at $86.8k MSRP to Emira V6.

Applying a $4.25k delta to both Cayman MSRPs, that could mean:
Emira 2.0T: $67.65k
Emira V6: $82.55k

Adding $1.5k to adjust for inflation from those 2021 MSRPs to 2023 (assuming Cayman's 2023 MSRP > 2021 MSRP):
Emira 2.0T: $69.15k
Emira V6: $84.05k

Mind those are all starting prices. I hear First Edition will come standard w/ package(s) (Driver/Convenience/Design Packs) that are otherwise optional. So add those onto the V6 $84.05k base price if you think an optionless stripper V6 should cost less than the First Edition.
