It's still not clear to me why everyone thinks the Emira will cost 20% less than an Evora GT. It's the same engine and same transmission. Okay, they have a more efficient assembly process. Lotus was barely making money selling 2000-2500 cars at an average of around $100k in the US. Lotus profit was $9 in 2018 - it's very difficult to find info since they've been acquired. Even if they can make cars 15% cheaper, and sell 10000 for 15% cheaper that's not exactly a good return on Geely's investment of £500m?
I’m lowballing in case Lotus reads these messages

Is that 9 dollars, or 9 million dollar?

BASE i4T MSRP $64,895 USD

BASE V6sc MSRP $69,895 USD

FIRST EDITION V6sc MSRP $79,895 USD

+Destination Charge
+Sales Tax varies
This would be incredible and they'd sell to 90% of their deposit holders, but considering the leaked pamplet said "starting ~$80k USD" I really doubt it. First Edition package will likely be $90k+.

Don't worry about Lotus reading these messages. They've run the numbers wayyy before even designing the car and have someone in accounting re-running them every week. They won't change their prices based on what you write. They also have to worry about the entire production run through 2028, not just the launch price, which is really all we're concerned about.

Back to the original question:
I think it'll start at $79,995 in the US.

But if it were up to me, I'd rather see it over $100k and with more power and upgrades. I'd pay over $150k for it if it came with a highly upgraded engine and chassis. It would be a proper budget 'supercar' if:
Chassis: carbon fiber monocoque (reduce weight as much as possible)
Engine: Toyota V6 which would rev to close to 8k RPM, makes 500hp+ with a DCT

It'll never happen, but that would be my dream.

I don't think they'll (significantly) undercut the GT with the same engine. If I was a GT owner that would piss me off perhaps to the point of never buying another lotus.
It's a hit, they don't have to give it away.

It may never happen exactly like your wish list, but the GT4 Emira may be much closer to what you want. We'll just have to wait and see what that one's going to be like, but it would probably be the i4 with DCT, not the V6.

Since everyone wants a cheap car, i'll start at $1 dollar with the price is right. Maybe ya'll should just wait until September until Lotus announce more information. This thread is bound to be a sh1t post just like how we got cancel on the last one.

I’m also going to guess that the “Driver’s Pack” will be 7500, includes adjustible shocks, thicker sway bar, Michelin Cup 2s, maybe bigger brakes. Basically a Z51 package that’ll be hard to resist.
