Is anyone here doing their own power steering flush?

I doubt it's been flushed before, and even though my car is still below the scheduled miles, I'd like to do it myself.

In the manual, I can't find the procedure for the V8. Does anyone know where I can find a DIY, or have any personal experience they can share?

I did my 4 cyl. S4 at a local shop. I replaced the fluid with royal purple power steering fluid. What the shop recommended and what we did, is I bought 2 extra bottles and we poured them into the reservoir until the new royal purple came out clear. They found a low point in the system near the steering components to bleed the line.

Thanks for the info.

Did you disable the fuel/spark and crank the engine like it said in the manual for the 4 cyl?

I have 2 bottle of Royal Purple ready to go, but it sounds like I am going to need more. How many bottles did you use in total?

I remember cranking the engine. If I remember correctly, I had 4 bottles, but only needed 3. If my memory is correct, it only took one bottle to flush the line.
