I just happened to be pulling some registration numbers today and I added Lotus into the mix for fun. Here's the latest registration data I found. (Please note that this database counts anything registered after Oct. 1st as a new model year car.)

08 Exige S - 30, 07 Exige S - 273
08 Exige - 8, 07 Exige - 46, 06 Exige - 271
08 Elise - 60, 07 Elise - 599, 06 Elise - 1266, 05 Elise - 2362, 04 Elise 196
Well if there were 6,500 total Federal Elise's, and taking the above which totals 5,111 for 2004 - 2008 registrations, that leaves 1,389 for model 2009 - 2011. Because this is based on registrations, it's imperfect.

Check out the first post of this thread for S2000's, which provides an incredibly thorough breakdown, which some of us wish we had for Elise's and Exige's from MY 2005 to 2011.

Yes, it's a great service provided by Lotus, for a fee of course, but well worth it. BTW, how many S260's were made in 2010 for the North American market?

^ 30 total. 27 made it to the U.S, and 3 to Canada. The Sport (S260) was only for the N.American market. The Europeans got the CUP260.

According to my Certificate of Provenance from Lotus, there were 164 Exige S240 and 20 Exige S Club Racers built for North Anerica in 2008.
