I have been seduced by the dark side and changed my color from saffron to chrome orange! I just saw a Lamborghini Murcielago in a color I would describe as pearl tangerine. It stopped me in my tracks! Would anyone know if this is similiar to the CO that Lotus is offering on the Elise? I will call my Lambo dealer and get info on their color. If CO is even similiar to this Lambo color it would be awesome!

I've defected from the COM and started the KGM... but I'll post anyway ;)

I'm pretty sure the Lambo orange is more metallic than CO. I've yet to see a CO Lotus in person, but I've seen the Lambo and it's definitely the coolest color I've ever seen on a car.

Hey Mike- The color is called metallic orange by Lamborghini. I found some pictures on their website. I agree that it is the most stunning color I have ever seen on a car! You have to see it in person- pictures just don't do it justice! Do you think we could ask Lotus to borrow some of this paint?!?! JUST JOKING

The two colors are close, but the Lambo has more depth to it, much more zing. The Elise is close though. All of the Murcielago colors are VERY nice. Great paint on those cars.

I just drove an orange rental Mustang around San Diego the last few days. Does anybody know how that compares to Chrome Orange? I'm still not sure how much I like orange. It certainly stands out!

I saw a bunch of those orange Mustangs driving around, and also a Focus in the same color. Seems to be a popular choice for Fords.

Ford road crew vehicles too. Asplunde

The Lambo orange is a dark transparent orange with a very yellow gold metalic component. It appears darker on the big flat planes and very dynamic on the edges. The Murcellago, I looked at was stunning in the sun (until you open the kitcar's coffin).

My hope is that CO starts out lighter.

Saffron/red interior, CO/red or Kermit/blue are my latest pics...but it looks like the order will be in late summer or fall if things go as slow as it looks now....

I also don't think that CO looks good on the Esprit. Seeing that kind of make me second guess my decision to go with CO. It does look way better on the Elise.
