I currently use my stock wheels mounted with A048’s for track days.

I also have a set of RAC Monolites which I use for street driving ( I know I should have the lighter wheels saved for the track ). I want to mount wider tires for the street, mostly only for looks, I just feel that the 195’s/225”S look a little small on the car. I know that wider tires will hinder overall performance ( weight, increase rotational mass, etc ) but I’m not concerned about that since I really don’t push the car on the street.

Here’s my question….has anyone mounted 225/45/16’s and 245/40/17’s on RAC Monolite wheels ( 16x7 and 17x8 ) wheels ? Any rubbing issues? Car is an 08’ S240 with Track Pack at the stock height?

TIA

I ran those 245's (MH) in the back w/o issue. However my fronts were the std 195's. I would bet you would have issues with 225 in the front - assuming we are talking about A048's, At a min would would need to remove all (including the ABS bracket) shims to have a shot at it.
