And soon the entire car is held together with used AmEx cards.Stan said:I removed the black piece and lubed it's edge with silicone grease and then shimmed the gap when reassembled with a piece of an old credit card. Noise = gone. There are lots of opportunites like that in the car.
Does that make the flashing lights and sirens I hear fade away as well?OneFastLotus said:Turn the radio up, go faster, or get a sport exhaust and drive high in the rpms.![]()
Yes.aletes said:Does that make the flashing lights and sirens I hear fade away as well?
I've got that noise. Easily heard over the engine at cruising speed with top on. Happens with light or neutral throttle. But seems to be coming not from the engine compartment but near the middle of the car, can't tell. Pushing on gear knob has no effect on it.adamant said:Are you referring to, what sounds to me like, chatter from the gearbox/drivetrain?
Yep, that is the same as mine. It has either got slightly more pronounced or the engine is a little queiter now. Doesn't bother me though, it has that hint of straight cut gears.Charles Rozier said:I've got that noise. Easily heard over the engine at cruising speed with top on.
