I bought a Compustar Alarm for that exact reason although I haven't installed it yet. I'm pretty sure there isn't anything u can add onto our current alarm but I'm not 100% sure. You might be able to get a seperate remote starter to work with the alarm though.
Remote Start Modual for Cobra?
I live where it's cold, -5F for too many days, and getting into a cold car stinks. Waiting to go "on cam" is not the right way to start the day, I live in an instant gratification world, I need speed NOW.
Part of problem maybe that the heater isn't doing squat (looking into it: fan works, engine comes up to temp, NO HEAT, can't find evidence of heater by-pass).
Is there a mod that will allow Remote start AND keep the doors locked?
Will I still be able to add the modual for auto up/down with the windows when I set the alarm?
I live in Europe, but have a US Elise, and could source parts I think.

Members of this forum are more powerfull than I; what could I use with the exisiting remote to enable remote start?
I'm going to do the "antenna extender" mod tonight so that I can at least turn it off/on when it goes off in the middle of the night. Neighbors love that feature.
I bought my Lotus used, how do I get the pin for the alarm?

As there is no safety clutch interlock with the starter, I don't believe you can install a remote start . Hypothetically, you could accidentally leave it in gear and try to start the car -eek-.
If you don't have the PIN, which is on a white card, you will have to try to get it though a dealer.

as far as the heater is concerned, close off the fresh air intakes behind the front center grill.
the fresh/recirculate part doesn't work on many lotus.

I'm searching like I'm getting paid to do it. So I'm on top of the "tape over the vents". I'll be drilling out rivets all too soon.
But NO HEAT? My old S2000 would bake bread if I wasn't carefull!
Still... I can't find squat about a module for the UP/DOWN windows or a remote start.
