Hi All,

I'm converting some standard chrome speelines to JPS speedlines (gold with black / gold center wheel badge) and so need to remove the center wheel badge. This has proved challenging - the badge appears to be a soft metalresting on a little shelf, secured by a little ring of steel which is perhaps inlaid into the actual wheel. I tried prying the badge free, but just chipped a little off the edge. The steel ring appears to be immovable as well ... any ideas?

Thanks,
Andrew

Does it knock inwards from the front ? A gentle tap from the front with with a rubber mallet or soft-wood drift may do it? My Esprit wheels are a different style but when changing the tyres the guy at the wheel shop was confused until I showed him how they knocked inwards, not outwards. Maybe yours are like that ?

Thanks, will give it a go - I don't think so though. They sit loose on top of a little shelf, so if they could be tapped through you'd think they'd fall out. Anyway, worth a go.
