I have a 2013
Exige S Cup that I would like to work on the shifter.
Does anyone know how to remove the console without tearing it up?

Thanks in advance for any advise.

well not sure how the cup car's console varies from the Exige S
but undue the two screws on the side, remove shift ball (tiny allen set screw needs to be removed). Remove the e-brake handle (also has tiny allen set screw)
then wiggle the console up allowing the e-brake handle to slide through the opening. Sometimes you need to pull the e-brake handle
up to create the right angle for it to slide through. When the console is free gently raise it enough so the shift boot collapses down into the console
exposing the zip tie securing the boot to the shift upright. Clip the zip tie and the console should come free.

On the reverse I suggest having a friend or spouse hold the console above the shifter with the shift boot inverted so you cam add the zip tie again.
Once the console is lowered down through the e-brake one person can handle it from that point forward.

Good luck.
