Does it really take so much time?? I asked a Lotus specialist how long it takes to change the fuel pump. They said 5,5 hours... Is this normal?

Ziker, reason I ask is, I am playing with the idea to upgrade to REV400. The install cost will be huge, knowing that the rear clam has to come off plus the time it takes to replace the fuel pump and all the rest...

When I was getting my REV400 installed at BOE, I was told that the stock pump is retained (not removed) but effectively set to 0 pressure - as a pass thru- that feeds my surge tank. So I don't think you need to remove it - just turn down the out put pressure some how? And leave it in the circuit?
(Editorial note: I do not know for sure, I only know my recollection)
Thanks komiko, maybe Phil can chime in?
