Cracked my front splitter on an uneven road surface, so now I'm in the middle of a front end remake. Anyone know by chance the type of male plug I'll need for the new headlights and the pinout. Thanks.

early stages: headlights are mounted with aluminum brackets to the front crash structure. A lot of reshaping has to be done on the clam, but they are close enough.

I knew someone was gonna point that out. Either someone in the shop was throwing it in a fit of hyper rage or its laying on a piece of plastic thats wedged under the left headlight. This was in the fitting stage so lots of both going on.

interesting. I made a thread about this and the photoshops looked a little off. Depends how it turns out in reality though. Good luck, take more frontward shots.

They definitely don't fit by any stretch, but anything can be made to fit :) Should at least be in primer by next weekend (as long as nothing unforeseen comes up), so I'll post some photos up then.
Ps. to clarify, this is just a one off hack job. Won't be any molds.

Looked up your thread with the photoshopped image and I see what your getting at. The last thing I want is for the car to look like the new elise's retarded cousin. Personally I'm not even that much a fan of the new elise (the '13 exige is a WHOLE different story) but I thought the new headlights fit the harder edge lines of my car. I'll just have to play with things till I get it right.

ended up cutting most of the lower front end off and re-fabbing it out of foam so its taken a bit longer to finish. Heres what I have so far. Greyscaled & photoshopped the side vents black to get a better idea of whats going on. Head on is prob the oddest angle for it but for comparison purposes, here ya go...

btw. the clam hasn't been trimmed to fit the headlights perfectly so they are sitting loose on their mounts at the moment. Also preemptively, I'll mention that the cars oil coolers are in the back.

i really like the removal of the center spine on the front clam reaching back to the access covers. Looks like the Exige V6

Is it just in the pictures or is the front overhang slightly longer now with your splitter and front air dam? Nice fabrication work I wish I had that type of skill.

Initially I split it like the 300rr, but later decided I like it better off the car altogether.

The front splitter is wider but sticks off the front less (overall), despite looking like it does. If you look at the origional photo the length is exactly that of where the middle tag section was. The old exige splitter scraped on everything. The new splitter is mostly carbon and extends under the car.

How about a shop manual in pdf format for the new cars? Ultimately, I can just figure it out possibly with a resistance check, trial & error, but it seems a shop manual would have the pinouts listed.

yeah actually did think about doing something on the sides but in the end just kept it simple. Don't own an sti but wouldn't mind an 08+ wagon for those snowboarding trips. The coupe in the background is my DD.
