Thomasio, so is there a chance for another group buy for the RLS intercooler? I'd be interested, especially if you have the plastic shroud with the extra ducting.

Anyone else interested in joining the group buy?

Yes, economies of scale allow me to offer a better price. I'd like to get an order of six... it can be the same rules as the last group buy, I'll post here shortly.

Really Light Stuff - Intercooler Group Buy "Round 3"
Announcing a group buy on the effective rls Intercooler Mk II:

Price: MSRP: $1085 (add $100 for anodizing)

RLS has negotiated a fantastic deal on the popular rls Intercooler, and you save! This is our extremely capable track version: bar and plate construction, greater volume, greater flow, greater surface area and greater thermal capacitance, hand welded, as always: made in the USA! Knock down IAT temperature spikes, improve flow and horsepower, improve supercharger efficiency. Track proven all around the world.

Stock (OEM) Lotus Exige S intercooler: flowed 363.9 cfm at 48" of water, rls Intercooler: flowed 409.7 cfm at 48" of water. That's a 12% improvement in airflow.

Group buy price: total of 6 units: $895, total of 10+ units: $820.

According to your place in the group buy, also deduct the following discount:

#1. additional -$75 discount
#2. additional -$60 discount
#3. additional - $45 discount
#4. additional -$20 discount
#5. additional -$20 discount
#6. additional -$15 discount

Example: if 10 units are sold, #1 on the list will be $820 - $75 = $745.

The group buy will run for three weeks or until 10 units are sold. Discount price will be according to # of units sold plus your "place in line discount."

Add rls Tubes to an intercooler purchase for only $198.00.

I believe he means adding supplemental ducting from either the roof (my preferred method) or from the side scoops.
Thomasio, are you selling these plastic shroud with the extra ducting that I didn't know about? If not, maybe you should consider it. A plastic shroud that would accept 2 ducting from the side scoops. Have three separate internal compartments. Middle one for the roof scoop and two on the sides for the side scoops please :D

How about if you start a separate thread for that. If I can get 1/2 a dozen or so people committed, then I'll invest the money into making it. Title it similar to this thread but w/ intercooler duct w/ supplemental cooling.

I 2nd that request!! :) 3 comparment shroud with two extra inlets with mountable side scoop shrouds/inlets. I'd buy that in heart beat as my RLS clearly isn't getting enough air to maximizes it's potential. The CFM numbers other's have presented seems to validate just not enough air going thru the IC.

When Phil (BOE) completes his TVS IC (Exige S) version it'll really come alive with the RLS -- dare suggest well over 300 wHP (dynojet on 9:1 pistons) at just 10-11 psi (post IC).

Don't want to divert all the side scoop air, just about 1/2 of it.

Thomas, can you make this piece and include it in the cooler kit?

Remember, need anodized it in dual tone or powder coat :p
Is this to move the lower mounting point of the stock strut? The instructions detail a similar solution. What is your sizing based on?

Yes, all based on eye & finger  measurement, from an existing installation of LT member in HK. He has LTS cooler and just hand made this extention.

If I see him on Sat, I will try to ask for picture and detail measurement.
