Any suggestions on how to make this look less crappy without replacing it? The only thing I can think of is to clean it out really well and apply a dab of clear cloat.
My starshield has alot of those on the rocker panel, infront of the rear wheel..

by alot I mean, about 30x that... for the bad ones, I picked the "peeling" part of the starshield off, and cleaned the area.

My rocker panels are trashed too. Lots of rock chips, but mostly black marks that I let sit too long and won't come off with anything. Tried mineral spirits, Goo B Gone, naptha, acetone, MEK, rubbing compound, gasoline.........I have to believe the starshield is stained.:(

The Adams polish is good. I use it.
Paint protection is sacrificial though, it is made to be replaced and it fairly easy to do yourself.
And best of all...I sell it. Cheap. You can even get additional coverage.
