I'm beginning to look around for new discs (rotors). Would like to get floating discs, but needs to work with the stock caliper. I'm looking at the sector 111 ultra discs, around $400, and the EliseParts AP discs that use a shim under the stock caliper, price $600+? don’t really know. Maybe in about 2 month or so I may do something.
.
Question 1, is there another disc available out there I don’t know of. If some ones developing one speak up now.

Q 2.1 will the EliseParts S2 AP disc fit in the standard wheel. Q 2.2 will this disc work with a AP Caliper if I later wish to buy. (This is the disc Dragon has and I really like the looks of this set up.) Q2.3 does someone in the U.S. sell this.

Q 3, if I only do the front will there be any balance problems. With either sector 111 or EliseParts stuff.

Q 4, can floating discs be turned like normal or is something special needed.

Is there something more I need to consider?

Thanks for any input

DBA (Disk Brake Australia) makes a two piece front rotor for the elise. They are around $350 each.

It fits the stock caliper.

Is the other caliper fitted to the stock rotor? If so then it should work.

2 piece rotors can be turned by a competent shop.
