This hack applies to all Esprits.
Have you tried a 33-2011? The other two fit the Esprit airbox as intended. The 33-2011's perimeter flange is too thick to fit with the large rubber "O-ring" gasket that is OEM stock, and too thin to seal in place without it. It would be up to you to add some other supplemental seal. Also, the 33-2011 is a limp noodle with minimal structure of it's own. In some of the airboxes (88 Esprit is the worst), it can be a bit of a 3-handed battle getting the 33-2011 and it's seal into place, and staying there while you do battle with the airbox cover. 33-2011 may win on surface area alone, but it sucks in every practical way.K&N Air Filter 33-2011 has the largest flow area of the three. It is obvious which one to use!
