My autocross club is responsible for an autocross event this Saturday. It will involve drag race starts, but you can launch easily if you wish. At least 8 runs, passengers allowed. Instruction available.

Cost is $35 for the day plus either a $10 one-day pass or a $30 annual number card.

This will be an all day event, registration at 8:00am, and cars will be running all day (though one could leave of course) :)

Let me know if you are interested!

Hey Randy
I am interested, what do you mean by a $30 annual number card? Where is this autocross going to take place? SD?

Location is Qualcomm west lot.

You can buy an annual membership in San Diego for $30. Or you can buy a one day membership for $10.

One caveat that should be mentioned: the Saturday event is what we call a "practice" event, and as such, there's pre-registration for current membership holders. If you just show up on Saturday, you may find the event is sold out.

Randy posting this invite here, though, leads me to believe the event is not sold out...

Andrew, we are not restricting this event to pre-registration. Strangely, there is not sell out cut off either. Nor are we limiting entries to current card holders. Many think that is a requirement, but it is not. Just something clubs choose to often do.

Hey Randy
Quick question, does the autocross event accept bad...I mean good personal checks? Or do they only take cash?

How many cars do you allow?
Any idea how many laps everyone will get in a day?
Do all drivers get flag+cone worktime?

For comparison, with the Porche Club we get upwards of 120 cars and generally can get 13 to 14 laps per day. All drivers do corner working, too.

Similar. I expect between 10-12 runs plus sudden death challenge runs... you go as far as you can until you are eliminated. :)

Hey Randy
Wow, that looks cool. Thanks for posting. Also thanks for the invite, I really enjoyed myself. I am looking forward to many more. I bought the $30 yearly regional membership. BTW, is there some kinda membership card we get for joining?
