I'm looking for the dimension of seats. I have a super 7 kit car and I'm looking for some seat. At the base, I have 17.250" (43.5 cm) to play with. Are the elise or exige have seat that are 17" wide or less? If not, how much padding is on the outside that I could remove.

I think, Lotus OEM seats are much narrower. All I can tell you is that Kirkey Medium Roiad Racing 14" seat barely fits into a stripped-down car.
