I think it's time to get a refreshed list of what aftermarket seats can fit in an Elise/Exige. I'm in the market for a new racing seating without head restraints and I'm having a hell of a time figuring out what might fit other than a few well-known options. Doing this on paper is exceptionally difficult since the Lotus seating area reduced in width from back to front and the dimensions given on seats by the MFGs rarely allow you to compute width from front to back.

So far I've confirmed, through internet searching and posts on here, these seats all fit in an Elige.

MFG Model
Corbeau LE-Pro
Cobra Pro Racer 7
Recaro Profi SPG
Tillett* B5
Tillett* B6 Screamer
Tillett* B6 Screamer - Edge Cut
Tillett* B6 Screamer XL
Tillett* B6 Screamer XL - Edge Cut
Tillett* B7 Screamer
Tillett* B7 Screamer - Edge Cut
Tillett* B7 Screamer XL
Tillett* B7 Screamer XL - Edge Cut
Technocraft T3

Note: "Edge Cut" Mean you have to trim the edge of the seat to make it fit.

While these, based solely on dimensions, I believe can fit, but I have no evidence or anyone stating they will.

MFG Model
Bride Zodia
Cobra MONACO PRO
Recaro Profi SPA

Anyone have any to add?

Cobra Nagaro possibly (they ain't cheap though ). I talked to the Cobra seat guys at the PRI show and they claimed the Nagaro will fit, but I got the impression they were just telling me the answer I wanted to hear.

Hi There,
The Tillett seats with the trimmed back edges are already cut back when you buy them. You don’t have to cut them. In fact if you do it ruins the FIA homologation.
The ones on that list that would not fit well are the 47 XL Screamer without the edge cut back. The 43 XL cut one does and is FIA. The B7 XL-47 the B7 XL 43 cut does but is not a homologated version.
All the standard width B6 or B5 seats fit in but the edge cut versions give more room for the fingers around the handbrake.

The EB4 brackets give the greatest flexibility of fixing on any seat and any side.
For a B5 use an EB1.
On normal Lotus seat runners (We don’t recommend using any runners for Racing)
Use the EB5.
For a B5 use the EB2.
Best regards
Steve

Thanks for the info.

I've been totally unimpressed with the Tillet, Eltech, Technocraft seats.

I really want to fit a Sparco Ergo in, just not sure on mounting and height yet.

Yes lots, ill have to get back to you but I am 235 lbs 36" waist and strong, but 25 lbs overweight at 5'11. This seat fits the widest variety of people and you will see it in lots of rental race cars. It's too tight right now but just a few lbs more lost and it will be fine. The guy I share the car with is 175 lbs and ripped and it also fits him tight with no sliding around

Kevin, you ever get the HTE-R installed? How is it? Pictures?

Thanks,
Matt

So, the seat would have fit with some cutting by your left knee here the seat has a "ledge" however I didn't have to do that as I converted to a sequential and am just going to move the steering wheel an inch towards center instead.
