I would like to buy the right Seven but I'm in CA and concerned if I find the perfect match in another state I won't be able to register it here. Does anyone have advice on getting a late model (pre smog) Seven already registered in another state "moved" to CA?

I can't remember the shops name, but there is a shop at infineon that specializes in them. If anyone would know it's them. Let me take a look, last year's northbay run ended at the shop.

There's no easy way to move a post-1975 Seven kit car into CA without having to go through the hoops of trying to get a CARB excemption and VIN assignment.

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of  I found the perfect combination of frame, engine, trans, rear end, options, and even color. The price was reasonable too. If only it was already registered in California. Oh well... :shift:
