So last sunday i was so lucky to have an awesome little brush with death in my elise when heading northbound on 75 around mockingbird this Beeeyatch speeding in her van decided to dart into my lane without checking blind spot. Jacked me hard sent me to the next lane, fish tailed pretty hard,(doing about 70-75mph). Moderate traffic if you know that area, semis all around. As it was happening i was pretty certain i was going to end up spinning accross a couple lanes and getting tboned or something and almost certain of injuries or....death. Luckily i was able to regain control and not over correct..**** happens so quick. Pulled over and super lucky the angle she hit me only her sidestep hit my drivers side rear rim and tire....hard enough to eat the **** out of the rim and brand freaking new yoko. Feel really lucky but ...just sucks, no matter how careful you are some things are just out of your control. So with our little go carts...BE CAREFUL out there!

oh so i am taking it to wheels america as referred by her insurance adjuster and instead of just fixing the one rim and tire i am at least going to get the entire set powder coated flat black so hehe, at least it forces me to stop being lazy about getting that done :)
Are the exige wheels flat black? Assuming that will look the best on my KG elise?

Doesn't matter. They'll be flat black with brake dust in no time at all. =-)

dont worry bro i got side swipped by a lady with an m6 and her ass was on the phone driving 45mph and she hit me while me being stopped at a red light
not to mention to replace the clam is like 8-10 grand  and then she asked me why my car was soo expensive to fix. Luckily i made out like a villan settled at 9 grand and got A body shop over called Atlanta Road Body shop to fix it for a fraction of the cost.

Our small cars require defensive driving and then some!
I almost got squished last week as another driver "changed lanes" toward me as we went through a round-about, I like the brakes ont he car!
She waved at me and went back to eating her apple.
I too saved a lot of $$$ by having my front clam repaired after being paid for a new one.
Glad things will work out for you.

there are an unusually high number of accidents on the freeways around dallas - I suspect a combination of poor driving and thoughtless freeway design - glad you're OK, not much runoff area in that section, kind of down in the trenches

Happens to me about weekly, albeit without the contact. I live in a heavy tourist area...driving here keeps you on your toes.

Thanks guys, She did pull over and have insurance...Honestly that is just a cherry on top of getting through the experience without injury. I am always super defensive people tend to drift towards us on the daily but she was speeding and weaving so didnt have a chance to see her....Anyways....I had my wheels repaired and powdercoated off frankford and 35. Awesome job, semi gloss black looks so freaking mean its retarded. For only 120 a wheel i thinks its a must for everyone.

Yikes, I worry constantly about accidents here in DFW. Probably why I don't drive the Elise as much as I'd like. That, and the fact that the soft top leaks like a dam in a Bugs Bunny cartoon every time it rains.

Wow, excellent outcome! We drive ours like we ride our M/C's.... like we are a target.
