silver or gunmetal wheels?

YUCK!

I hope we're not getting those bright silver wheels on the Bordeaux Red
fed car I've seen latley. They look like something VW would put on the GTI.
I much prefer the gunmetal wheels on the euro/aussie 111s. They look much
more exotic, kinda custom. Not as "off the shelf" as the bright silver. It makes
perfect sense that black would be an option for an added cost, maybe part of
the sport package. But IMO the gunmetal should be standard not the silver.

Anybody else care about which wheel color comes standard?

I agree intirely. The gunmetal is by far the most sexy imo.
Black?

I voted Gunmetal. Because there was no option for Black.

I would prefer Flat Black wheels on my Saffron Yellow Elise
I agree - voted gunmetal but would pick black if an option...
I don't see any problem with silver, nor with gunmetal. But black doesn't cut it for me. Yuck.
I voted for gunmetal as well. The silver wheels don't impress me.

Due to popular demand, I've added Black to the poll.

Then you need to VOTE for it now MW ;)

I voted Black as the vote display uses CO for the black colomn
My choice will depend on what color I go with for the car...so can I vote for 3?!? :)

Yellow-silver
Red-gunmetal
Silver-black
You should post pics of each of the rims so people really know what they are voting for.
Voted! Black!

Oh, and yellow-silver combo? What are you smoking Eddie?

Yellow and black!!! Common Lotus, don't let me down.

*side note*
I wonder how much lightning yellow paint and black wheels are going to add to my invoice? My $40K care is quickly becoming $45 :(

Is that wishful thinking on your part or has Lotus decided to offer lightning yellow as an extra cost option as it did with CO?
ivan,

I think that most colors that are readily available on the euro s2's will be available to the US at an extra cost. A lot of people are screaming for LY, so I think I have a chance! Lotus knows we exist!

But yes, it is entirely wishful thinking, along with the black wheels
Those silver wheels do look weak.

Gunmetal is aggressive.

Black is simply sinister! :D

I wonder what wheels come on the LSS?
Wheel color

Yellow body = black wheels IMHO
Also I figure all the accents (louvers, windshield surrond, grille etc) are black so why not complete the motif with black alloys.

Personally, I don't normally care for black wheels, but the yellow demo that is making the rounds has black wheels and, as you mentioned, with all the other black trim on the car, the wheels perfectly complement the car.
