I installed the $12 Blaupunkt head unit, and found that the original fit kit for the stereo did not go over the new stereo. I also found that the replacement cage installed loose, and the head unit is wobbly.

It's still usable, and was still arguably worth it, for the bluetooth, and decent sound - but any tips on how I can make this hack job a pro-install, and remove yet another thing on my Elise that rattles around?

If you look at the Blaupunkt post you will see that I put foam tape around the new cage prior to installing it. This mimics the foam that the factory installed on the OEM units. That should fix the loose fit and rattle issues. See the other post....
Thanks - I'll pull that up
