Sirius ready?

My Alpine says Sat Ready. Does this mean I can get my Sirius account to work on the Alpine too?

The term "ready" usually means you need to add a little box onto the head unit for the sat stuff.
I have an Alpine in my Exige S that's XM radio ready.

.
I'm pretty sure the Alpine units just need to be activated with XM...
I have the Sirius app on my iPhone. I just plug it into the front of my new MP48 ($99, a step up in wattage and easier to use than the MP54 - has an Aux In on the front).

Because it relies on network coverage, certain rural and mountain routes cut out, but for the most part it's pretty good. NO DROP OUTS when going under overpasses, through tunnels, etc...

Also, try the Pandora app. Build a custom radio station for yourself. VERY cool.
So I just need to call Sirius and add it to my account? Do I need any adapter or such?

You probably need something like this.
The guys at Crutchfield.com can probably point you in the right direction.

No, you'd need to call XM.

Here's a good way to test if your radio is XM ready. Hit the SOURCE button until you get to "satellite", and you should hear the XM preview channel.

Alpine supports XM or Sirius; at least that is what my manual says. Anyways, not sure if I am going to take it. Called Sirius, and they would not give me a discount on an additional receiver. Not sure why. Not going to fork over another 400.00 for a lifetime subscription. Its not that important to me @ 400.00.
