so I noticed yesterday that there is a small chip in my clear coat right above the driver's side door lock. its maybe a millimeter or two across, the paint underneath seems undamaged.

is there an easy way to fill in small chips like this so they don't spread?
I tried some Nu finish clear coat stuff but I think its made more for scratches and swirl marks that don't go all the way through

Pick up a clear coat (small, like the pen mentioned above, in the touch up paint section) at your local Advance Auto or Pep Boys or whatever you have there in HI and follow these steps to make it unfindable after the repair: Car Care Specialties, Inc. - Your Source For Quality Car Care Products, How-To Articles and Product Evaluations. It says "Paint Chips" but the process is the same.
beat me to it. Good info on that site, Larry Reynolds knows his stuff. I get a lot of mdse from him.
