We'll drive through the best odorous locations in Southern California including a chicken ranch, fertilizer plant, sewer drain areas, the hyperion plant and the infamous Norco Cow and Steer cattle pens! A yummy-yummy LUNCH at a restaurant located across the street from Andy Gump rentals in Los Angeles.:coolnana:

Remove your hardtop, softop, and breath the air! Thank goodness you're driving a convertable!

Drive starts in the parking lot of Bandini Fertilizer Company downtown Los Angeles (you don't need a map follow your nose!)

I should be in I think, Are you serious about meeting downtown and driving new routes ?

It actually would be nice to drive some different roads , such as the ones up above Sunland that Greg took us on the drive to nowhere. Amazing views, not much traffic, bicycles or motorcycles, couple of cops but people were doing a great job warning cars coming the other way with flashing lights or patting their helmets. Could end at Houston's in Pasadena which has great parking and food. Meeting spot was in Tujunga/Sunland and was nice as well, grocery store parking lot with coffee and bathrooms

Maybe next drive after this one, Ojai was fun ending at the Italian place as well I thought. I am still putting together a small drive

^^^ Gary Indiana has to be one of the foulest places in the US.
We have some chicken farms that are unpleasant to pass at the wrong time, but it's hard to rival that eye burning industrial pollution like the armpit of the country- Gary, IN. lol.
Not that Detroit was ever that pleasant either.

Hal, this seems like its gonna be some kind of crazy route.

its gonna start downtown, then head west (sewer drain areas) then south (hyperion plant) and then towards Norco. (which i think is way east near riverside) :crazyeyes

...and i don't even know where the other places are at, but it sounds like its gonna be a drive all over southern california.

also, this is happening the day after valentine's day. so, i'm not sure if my girlfriend is gonna see the romantic appeal of this drive.

let us know what roads you have in mind, and you might get a lot more interest.
right now, i'd say pencil me in cause' this sounds like a crazy kind of way to spend a sunday morning and afternoon.
